Angola – Africa
Bordered by the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the north-east, Namibia in the south, Zambia on east and west. Angola lies along the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean and is almost twice the size of Texas. Angola has a temperate climate and two distinct seasons; the dry season, between May and October, and the rainy season, between November and April. There are three main geographic areas in Angola; the low coastal strip, the highlands and the plateau lands. The low coastal strip is under 600 feet above sea level. The highlands are located in central eastern Angola and rise up to nearly 8,000 feet above sea level. Making up nearly two-thirds of Angola, the plateau lands have an average elevation of approximately 4,000 feet.
